To give you an idea of what I do, I set up my chocolate machine, so that it is going whilst I give a talk about how chocolate is made… from tree to mouth! The recipe has not changed much since Mayan time, which is about 3,000 years ago and it is quite an interesting process, it is amazing that anyone discovered how to make it! I have some of the different stages to show and demonstrate, including a short video) and where appropriate lots to taste! I love taking questions as we go, so that it is interactive and people get out what they want from it. Finally, to make it all the more “interactive” at the end, when my machine is ready, everyone can have a go at making their own chocolate truffles, coating them in a choice of flavours. Oh and I do not take any choc home… you get it all!
I love sharing my passion, so am happy to share tips and advice as to how others can make chocolates at home and can even provide recipes if people are keen to start!
It is lots of fun and people can eat lots of chocolate, so I am often told that it is the best attended meeting!
